Local Jazz Artists Make Music To Uplift The Spirit
Albuquerque, NM - Many local jazz enthusiasts will recognize the names of jazz pianist, Pat Rhoads, and the sultry jazz vocalist, Patty Stephens. What many may not know is that these two musicians share the spirit of music and jazz at 10:00 AM every Sunday morning at the High Desert Church of Religious Science, which currently meets at the Paradise Hills Community Center.
On Sunday, May 21, 2006 at 2:00 PM, at the Sandia Preparatory School Theatre located at 532 Osuna Rd. NE, both of these talented artists will be featured for the 2nd Annual Jazz & Sunday Songs, a music concert to benefit the High Desert Church of Relgious Science Music Department and Youth Music Department.
Joining them for this musical celebration of beloved jazz favorites and spiritual music with a hip grip will be guest artists: Dianna Hughes, Vocalist; Hillary Smith, Vocalist; John Bartlitt, Drums; Luis Guerra, Bass; and John Truitt, Sax/Recorder.
