Santa Clara- Casa de la Cultura recently announced it will be hosting "an art class for young people ages 11 to 411". The classes will begin on March 4th 2008 at Casa de la Cultura in Santa Clara and will continue thereafter each Tuesday and Thursday from 4pm to 6pm until further notice.
The classes will focus on 'Mural Making and Arte de la Gente' and will include classes on Drawing, Mask making, Print Making, Papel Picado and Chicano Art History.
ALthough the information Steppin' Out received doesn't specifically say so, we believe it is reasonable to assume the classes are also open to non-Chicanos. Still, if you are in the area and interested in attending these classes, you might want to call and double-check on that.
For more information, or to determine cost or other details, interested readers are can call (575)-956-9632 or (575)-538-6526. Please be sure to tell them you found their announcement in Steppin' Out.
Thanks, and Have Fun!
